As well as “Moving On” I have been Moving UP - into a new apartment - one with a view - of roof tops that is. This is 1/3 my “load” of plastic bags - some are already unpacked, some stored away with “just in case” stuff. What would we do without thiese bags? I know what they are called in Nigeria but I wonder what Ghanaians or Kenyans calll them? Have you ever carried one on a plane? How many do you have in your house/apartment right now?

Ghana had nothing to loose except possibly their pride - they always looked like maybe they could take the game with great play from Appiah, Amoah, Pantsil and Mensah but poor finishing and of course once they had settled down and remembered the D word. Essien’s absense had to be crucial - what with the ref dishing out yellow cards to Ghana like ballons at a kids party but I always felt a goal was possible and even a win. Whatever - I think we can all live with loosing to a not so great Brazil but Gyan’s dive was blatant and shameful - and Thinkers “man” - well he’s still singing - scores a goal and then stands around for 89 minutes waiting for someone to pass him the ball - may be if he did a bit more work……..! but then he doesnt have to I guess.

Bloody sad day when I find I am left with supporting Les Bleus but then again they are more or less Les Africaines - the only Nigerian, only black face, only female supporter in the village and only person supporting France! I am going for a long walk instead. And before anyone else mentions my promise to Mshairi which I have broken but she explained so I think its OK! Anyway she is a Gooner! I’M OUT!
