Voices of pavement dwellers

In December 2007 a group of backorders occupied a section of empty houses but were evicted after just two months.   They then decided to stay in the area and built their shacks along the pavement of Symphony Way where they managed to stay for a further 20 months.  Eventually they were evicted for a second time and forced to relocate to  Blikkiesdorp Temporary Relocation Area (TRA).   No Land! No House! No Vote is the story of their struggle in their own words.    The authors have now organised a fund raising campaign go on a book tour of the US and UK –
