Zanele Muholi: Australia where the walls are too white

Photographer and performance artist, Zanele Muholi has three new exhibitions which will be showcased on Black Looks over the next few weeks. This is the first time a Black woman from South Africa Zanele is having her work exhibited at the Monash Faculty Gallery. Fellow South Afri can Anthea Moys is also showing her work.

“All i want to ensure that galleries have faces of people like us. The gallery walls are too white and black people are often intimidated by that space. I live to bring about change especially to places that defy us. I penetrate those spaces and live presence of our existence.”
