@anengiyefa
I couldn't agree with you more Anengiyefa.

I strongly condemn the religion perspective the video producer was pulling into the issue. It has nothing to do with religion but every to do with crime and corruption.

Well actually, the conduct of the Nigerian military is a manifestation of the general lack of discipline and utter contempt for the rule of law that holds sway in Nigeria. No it isn't about Nigerians, but it is about the situation in Nigeria, a man-made situation brought about by Nigerians.

Anengiyefa@ This is not about Nigerians - it is about the corrupt facist leadership that has no boundaries nor control over its armed forces. On the contrary they are encouraged to behave in this brutal fashion.

Now I've seen the video I understand. I couldn't help breaking out in tears when the second man was murdered in cold blood. I can't but wonder how those who knew him in life would feel, watching him being so brutally murdered. Nigeria's military is a disgrace to our country. I am ashamed to be a Nigerian.

The religious comment comes as the person behind the video claims the killings as part of a Nigerian religious war between Christians and Muslims (though he doesnt mention Islam - that is what he is referring to). But yes the music is beautiful and this IS about our humanity or in this case complete lack of it. Beyond these two killings are similar ones taking place all the time!
From All Africa.com

One of the soldiers asks in pigin English "Wey the camera?"Another soldier on bare feet, carrying a riffle asks "Who you be?" (meaning who are you?). The terrified man is seen tapping the lifeless body of his brother with his right hand.

The soldier repeats the question "Who you be?" The man answers "Boma"

"Where are you from?"

"Bonny" the man answers.

"Boom, boom" the soldier shoots him on the head and the man dies instantly.

Sokari, it's even more religious than you might think. The background music is in Sesotho, by the Soweto Gospel choir. Beautiful piece of music, even if we should be thinking more of humanity than religion in what is happening.

Molimo re boka uena
Hoba tsohle li entsoe ke uena

God, we praise you,
Because everything was created by you

Anengiyefa@ Dont know why - the video is still up there on the blog. Here is the URL from you tube so you could try and watch it direct.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kbLnx5pJNQ

Please ignore the Christian reference - it is unfortunate that the guy sees it that way - this has nothing to do with religion.
