Let’s kill the baby

A baby boy had both legs broken by supporters of President Robert Mugabe to punish his father for being an opposition councillor in Zimbabwe. Blessing Mabhena, aged 11 months, was seized from a bed and flung down with force as his mother, Agnes, hid from the thugs, convinced that they were about to murder her.

That is so crazy. The baby is an individual…the baby really shouldnt have to pay. I have a friend from Zim who is so nonchalant about the whole situation… I think its about time someone did something about Zimbabwe; what, however is the question

The situation in Zimbabwe is crazy, I agree. There’s a new petition to make world leaders act against Mugabe’s dictatorship. If you want to sign it, here’s the link: http://go.care2.com/15560399. Let’s get this guy out of power!

It’s disheartening to know that such corrupt people are capable of having so much power these days, and that they easily blind others to the truth of how bad things are.

I remember when I was in graduate school, I proposed a special tribunal for world leaders who were violating international law and their people’s rights.
Mugabe should be tried in an international court. He is not the only one of course.I have a list of a few more world leaders who need to step down and face the law..
Human Rights organiganizations, the United Nations, the opposition, neighboring countries in Southern Africa and the Organization of African Unity are not powerful enough, and some are simply too bias and partial.
I wonder how long Mugabe is going to hide behind “the international community is against me because…”
Mugabe should be arrested and tried for all the atrocities he has committed against the people of Zimbabwe.
I find it very difficult to predict
how and when this dreadful situation is going to end. This could go on for a very long time, if there is no serious outside intervention. I am really very saddened by it.
Saludos,
Ana
