Where did the bible come from? How did the bible get to us? It was fair game to kill Christian in ancient Rome but these Bishops do not understand that they are repeating history.

although they are the leaders of churches with very large numbers The leadership challenge raised its ugly head :D again. Ignorance and intolerance does seem to rule these daft Africans. They simply do not get it!

What did Jesus say about love? If you do not like change, you are going to like irrelevance even less.

Henry @ thanks for the clarification on the number of Bishops versus the number of participants. I am not suggesting Gafcon is strong - on the contrary they are a very small minority. I used the word "large" in reference to "preachers of intolerance" not numbers of Anglicans! Sorry for not making that clear.

Davis Mac Iyalla directed me to your site. I hope as an African-born gay-friendly white man I'm OK to post a comment?
GAFCON is not nearly as strong as you suggested. Your figure, "Some 1000 other bishops from across the Anglican church" is wrong. The number attending the GAFCON conference includes, I believe, just under 300 bishops; the rest of the 1000 or so participants are priests, deacons and laypeople including the bishops' wives.
Their claims to represent the majority of world Anglicans should be treated with caution; although they are the leaders of churches with very large numbers, within those churches there are many who don't agree with their leaders' policy on gay people. I know this from personal meetings with gay and gay-friendly Christians in Kenya.
God bless you
