If a high school official can tell a student to cover up a lesbian-themed T-shirt or face suspension in the US where education seemed better than in Africa, what hope have we in developing countries? The corporate world is slowly embracing GLBT Customers but the fear of violence remains a horrible reality for millions. It is only via education that people can be made aware of the tremendous social crisis we face concerning GLBT rights. You wanna fall out with anyone? Just add greater even than the issue of slavery.

Minority causes are out there but choose wisely before playing the numbers game. For example, the US democratic presidential selection with regards to Clinton or Obama, there are more women than black people anywhere. The same is true about slavery with regards to GLBT rights but awareness is in education. But to tell our people that GLBT issues does demand equal attention seemed to bring out the worst in people.

Hate crimes are especially vicious and irrational crimes, welling up from deep hatreds, resentments, and fears that laws can hardly touch. Do the law makers have the right type of education that challenge and confront personal prejudices and inspiring change? Are these not the same so called leaders that have outsourced all problems to their Gods? Again, it is about education and personal responsibilities.
