My name is Arlene Scott and I live in the disadvantaged area of Tower Hamlets. I am trying to set up an organisation aimed mainky at black women within the community but like yourselves, I am experiencing major beauracy from the government and to date my local council to recognise that black women have domestic and social issues in the same or similar manner as our Asian counterparts and as such should be addressed with funding to those organisations expressing a wiilingness to voluntarily serve ethnic women within our communities. Personally I will not give up the struggle to achieve my aim in supporting these disadvantaged women who mainly come from disadvantaged areas and backgrounds.
