Spot the difference. In the first photo you can see the original drawings by the Egyptians on the walls of Tutankhamun’s tomb. The second photo is a scientist’s replica of Tutankhamen who has now become white.

I have been posting a series of pieces on untold African histories but as we see from these two photos, it is not just our histories that are not being told. Often when they are told they are rewritten to exclude us in some way, whether as in this case to make the statement that the ancient Egyptians could not possibly have been Black. Furthermore the Arabisation of Egypt itself has contributed to the revisionist view of the colour (not race) of ancient Egyptians. One thing is certain the drawings on the walls of the tomb bear no resemblance to the scientists replica.
