		<description>Thank you for sharing this article.  I had no idea that the persecution of lesbian women in Africa was such a problem.  You are correct to assert that this is just as much a human rights issue as the ones which get more face time.  I missed the day of remembrance, but I will hold my own today (and invite others to do the same) and mark it on my calendar for next year.</description>

I did not know that such things were taking place, albeit I realize there are a lo of places where being lesbian or gay is punishable by law or death.  This has affirmed even more my need to get out there and do work to help, empower myself with knowledge, and never forget those who have died to pave the way.
