Moving on
Today is my last day as Regional Editor for Sub Saharan Africa for Global Voices. It’s been an interesting and very useful experience but “a critical shift in mindset” has taken place in GV and I have chosen to move on. The most important thing for me to do is to publically thank all the African volunteers who worked with me in building up an African presence on GV. We were a great team and I hope whoever takes over can keep that up.
Here is the list of past and present volunteers by their blogs and on the GV Author list with all their posts
[Afromusing] – GV Author
[Chippla's Weblog] – GV Author
[David Ajao] – GV Author
[Digital Africa] & [Jkomboe]
[Grandiose Parlor] – GV Author
[Jangbalajugbu Homeland Stories]
[Meskel Square] – GV Author
[Mshairi] – GV Author
[Soul on Ice] - GV Author
[Thinkers Room] – GV Author
[Zimbabwean Pundit] – GV Author
Thanks to each of you and wishing you all the best in your future endeavours!

Good luck Sokari, and thanks for all you did as Regional Editor for Sub Saharan Africa [Global Voices]
Thank you for all the work you have done for Africa on GV. You are a star! Your commitment and drive will always be an example for me. Good luck in your next venture!
Sokari, it is going to be strange not to find your posts at GVs any more. BUT it makes me happy that you will be blogging maybe more here, so we can stay up to date with your adventures. Un abrazo!
Thank you Sokari, your leadership and drive…I admire. Good luck with the next endeavour
Never apologizing for ruling.
Luv ur site…
Goodbye? Thank you? Wishing you all the best? No, you are born again (http://jesusidol.blogspot.com) to join the Strands of connectivity.
THANKS to all of you – Be Aware!
Beauty: CONNECTIVITY is the key word – let us bring the disconnected strands together and set our own agenda – Les Africaines –
Neo-colonialist are all around spoon feeding us honey and stealing our minds in the process – BEWARE he who comes dressed in sheeps clothing because the fox is cunning and talks with a sweet mouth –
NO SELL OUT
Caesar’s choice to ignore the Soothsayer’s advice proved the first in a series of failures to heed warnings about his fate. Just as Caesar himself proved fallible, his power proved imperfect (Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar – Act I, scene ii). Los Africanos en NVS (http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/board/) y demás are hunters with overfed hounds, bringing them all together is a cause worth our time.
I will check this out and return for further words of wisdom – I am moving slowly for the moment as the available technology is inferior to my needs -
You provided the tempo GV Africa needed when it started out. It has been great working with you. More power to your elbow…and looking forward to that book
You’re gonna stick around, now. Leaving GV does not mean leaving our group; in fact it probably means getting closer to the group (African bloggers). That’s the way I see it. Bravo for all the work you’ve done. I have a feeling we ain’t seen nothing yet…
Hey Sokari! I can’t believe you’re leaving GV… Such a great Africa Group leader. Thanks for connecting us all so brilliantly.
Rethabile – will be around and will try to keep the group together on some level – thanks for your kind words.
Likewise Hash – will keep connecting:)
Best of luck with all your future endeavours, I’m missing you already
It’s good that you are moving on and trying out new ideas. Your work has been very much appreciated by many of us who consider ourselves to be active members of the the Global Voices Online community.
You are a pioneer and a pacesetter in today’s online activist, citizen journalist, and writer/publisher communities. I believe that all of your friends and buddies online hope that you reach your most important goals in life.
Of course, giving up the position at GVO does not mean that you can quit the blogosphere. Nobody quits the blogosphere….

BRE -no I wont be leaving the blogosphere. “nobody quits the blogosphere”? thats a bit scary:) Remember that great blogger who we never knew who s/he was “Ambigious Adventure”………Would we know if s/he resurfaced at some stage?
Thanks for your kind words
