We’ve been here for a while
And we’re hoping that you’ve been with us at least part of the way
Every day we come and go
Putting up our words, our thoughts, our selves
In the hopes that someone hears them
But maybe now we have reached that point
Where we need to know for sure if you’re really there
So blink if you see me
And then keep your eyes open
Wiggle your ears if you hear me (no, really)
And then keep your ears alert
I want your heart to beat just a little faster in acknowledging me
