<description>Thank you for this honest reflection on your impressions of the American people during your visit to the San Francisco Bay area. It's the kind of thing that I try to do regularly with the African people that I meet and interact with here in Germany. It is not an easy sell but some of them get the message, and those numbers are increasing over time. This is particularly true of one intelligent Nigerian friend of mine who is not easily misled by all of the ranting and rhetoric and media hype. We spoke about some of these very same things that you point out just this morning.

Washington D.C. and the U.S./EU global businesses are not the only one's you need to appeal to; focus on the American people and the Europeans to make sure that they get the message loud and clear. You still have time before the next general election to make a lot of progress in that area. Perhaps blogs will help.

You are an excellent writer Ike Okanta, keep going. Owukori ain't so bad either. Happy belated birthday Owukori. Best wishes.
