THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN NATIONAL DEVELOPEMENT START FROM THE HOME.HOWEVER IT IS NOT RESTRICTED TO IT.NIGERIA IS UNDOUBTEDLY BLESSED WITH HEROES WHO HAVE EARNED THE TITTLE WITH THEIR BLOOD,SWEAT AND AT TIMES THEIR LIFE.THE LIONESS OF LISABI IS ONE OF THOSE.COMPARED TO WHAT WE HAVE IN THE SOCIETY TODAY.I BELIEVE A SUBJECT THE TEACHES ABOUT PAST HEROES SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE CURRICULUM OF THE NIGERIAN EDUCATION.THIS WILL HELP GIVE THE YOUNGER GENERATION A REASON TO KEEP UP THE FIGHT.

thank you for filling in the important information on FRK for us. I knew she had been a nationalist and activist all her life, but I did not know how instrumental she was as a human rights pioneer and activist in Nigeria's pre-independence days. This should be a required part of our school curriculums in elementary and secondary schools! She is undoubtedly one of Nigeria's heroes, and she instilled that same fighting spirit and dedication to country in her sons, from Fela to Beko. And on to the next generation of this great Nigerian family. She was a true matriarch, both of country and family, a Nigerian hero, and an African pioneer. Thank you for sharing.

I knew that Fela's mother had been a teacher and a government official. However, I never knew how much she had accomplished and what her ideas were. Funmilayo Ransome Kuti is most certainly one of Nigeria's true heroes.
