Ethel de Keyser

Ethel de Keyser tireless anti-apartheid campaigner died last Friday (16 Kuly) of a heart attack – she was 77.

Ethel de Keyser, who has died aged 77 following a heart attack, was one of a remarkable group of Jewish South African women who committed themselves totally to the African liberation struggle. At a critical time in the late 1960s and early 1970s, her campaigning talents ensured that the issue of apartheid and racism in southern Africa were put on the political agenda in Britain.
